Job Overview

The Coordinator will be responsible for managing the scheduling and following through production of special requests to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time. They will also assist the Project Profile Coordinators with project management.

Highlights of your role

  • Manage the scheduling of Special Customer orders
    • Review material requirements from outside vendors and internal departments to ensure they line up with production needs and lead time
    • Update truck schedulers of expected delivery times to ensure orders are assigned to trucks accordingly
  • Order organization and communication
    • Ensure on-time completion by checking for and resolving holds by working with appropriate groups
    • Communicate any shortfalls or problems with appropriate associates and help resolve issues
  • Scheduling documentation, manufacturing and communication
    • Follow up with manufacturing departments on progress, checking for material outages or shortages
    • Answer questions that arise from manufacturing and reply in a timely manner
    • Expedite rush orders, remakes and past due materials
  • Other coordination tasks
    • Work with other inventory centers to coordinate deliveries of cross-dock and transfer units

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Computer skills – ICIM and Microsoft
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborating team member
  • Self-starter able to work with little supervision
  • Analytical skills – ability to determine if delivery time table is obtainable; able to think through and resolve issues that arise
  • Knowledge of all areas of production, components and materials needed
